The agent of Tahith Chong has explained why he chose to sign a new contract with Manchester United.

As his previous deal ran down, Chong courted interest from the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus, but he has now penned terms to 2022.

Erkan Alkan said: "There was a lot of interest and we talked to big clubs, but United have put up a good plan for Tahith.

"He wants to stay in the club that picked him up from the Netherlands."

Chong was snapped up from Feyenoord in 2016.
