The agent of Everton defender Niels Nkounkou has revisited his departure from Marseille.
The teenager was allowed to come off contract by OM ahead of him making a Bosman switch to England.
Yves Le Mee told La Phoceen: "It is always the training club that has the hand. You have the possibility to block a player contractually. Afterwards, you can also leave despite the contract proposal. That's what we did.
"We cannot blame OM for not having offered Niels a contract. The contract has been offered. What the club was criticised for was not even the economic aspect, it was just that there was no sports programming. It was absolute fog as has been the case for a while at OM.
"We had the possibility of going to Juventus, it was to make number 3 with team 2, but that did not interest us. The only regret that OM can have is not to have given them 1 match, 2 matches… "
