The agent of Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy has explained how a move to Galatasaray fell through yesterday.
Matters were complicated by Mendy being in Dakar on international duty with Senegal and the timings were just too tight in order for him to jet to Turkey to complete the move.
He would have apparently needed to fly to Congo and then to Istanbul.
The player's agent Yacine Ayad told Foot Mercato: " With Galatasaray and Leicester, we tried everything to try to get him to Istanbul on Wednesday.
"But the timing was too tight and did not allow us to be able to carry out the medical examination on time. It is fate."
