The agent of Valentino Lazaro expects his client to stay at Inter Milan for the long term, despite Newcastle United having an option to buy him.
The 23-year-old has been secured by the Magpies for the rest of the season on a loan deal.
There is an option in that deal for them to complete the purchase for £20 million.
But the player's agent Max Hegmayr says the 23-year-old wants to go back to San Siro for next season.
Speaking to Italian outlet FC Inter News, Hegmayr said: "The player's first choice is to go back to Inter.
"With more time available he wants to demonstrate that he can help the Nerazzurri club to win the Scudetto."
