Agent Oscar Damiani can understand AS Roma moving for Lille defender Zeki Celik.

Celik is a target for Roma with talks underway.

Damiani told Il Messaggero: "Whoever catches him knows that Celik is a full-back, not a full-fledged winger. So he's perfect for a four-man defence. I repeat, he knows how to defend well and attack if necessary.

"He's not a goalscorer but he makes a few goals.

"Differences between him and (Rick) Karsdorp? They are two players more or less on the same level. Maybe Celik defends better even if French football is less tactical than ours, while the Dutchman is one who always looks forward. But with a good coach like (Jose) Mourinho he can only improve."
