Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek is going nowhere this summer, his agent has confirmed.
The Dutchman, who has struggled for playing time since joining from Ajax last season, failed to come off the bench in last weekend's draw with Southampton.
Speaking after the game, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisted the 24-year-old would be "important" for United this season.
And the player's agent, Guido Albers, says van de Beek is pleased with the 'clarity' provided by Solskjaer.
"Everyone within the club knows that Donny cannot have another season like last year," Albers said.
"In preparation, clarity would be provided about his role. The fans had already embraced him before, but the most important thing is that the trainer has now provided clarity in the English press.
"We are happy with that. And I assume that Donny will play a lot in one of the positions in midfield in the coming period."
