The agent of Real Madrid signing Ferland Mendy says he's excited about the move.

The former Lyon fullback completed his transfer from Lyon yesterday.

Yvan Le Mee told AS: "For the player he is proud to defend the shirt of the best team in the world, he feels a lot of affection for the club.

"Real have had a lot of interest in him since the first day they contacted Olympique de Lyon and his desire to sign has facilitated everything."

Asked about delays over his medical, Le Mee insists there was no problem.

He added: "It was a misunderstanding and it is something false. There was never a problem on that issue and both teams have denied that. The player has been playing with the national team 100% and now he only thinks about stepping on the Bernabéu."
