The agent of departing Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon has opened the door to a move to Benfica.

Buffon is being linked with the Portuguese giants as he seeks to play on next season.

Silvano Martina said, "If Benfica calls us, it may interest him, surely. It is a club that may interest him.

"But I had no contact with Benfica, nor with intermediaries, not even directly."

Martina admits a move to Porto was considered when Buffon was leaving PSG: "We spoke with FC Porto, [Sérgio] Conceição and his agent [D'Onofrio]. They were very interested [in his coming], but then Juventus arrived and he went there.
