Gabby Agbonlahor admits Aston Villa's search for a new manager has taken a toll.
With Gerard Houllier now installed, the uncertainty is behind everyone at the club after six weeks in limbo, which is a positive, even according to Agbonlahor.
"It has been frustrating not knowing what was going on, but at least now we know and we can look forward to the future," said the 23-year-old. "We're just going to get our heads down as a team because we want to try and impress the new manager.
"We don't know what he knows about us, so hopefully it will be a fresh start for everyone in the squad. We'll see what ideas he has and what training will be like, and we'll take it from there."
