Barcelona star Lionel Messi has made another signing recommendation to the board.

Diario Sport says Messi has been watching the emergence of Justin Kluivert at Ajax and believes the youngster could make it at Barca.

Kluivert is the son of former Barca striker Patrick Kluivert and has impressed Messi this year.

After the success of Paulinho this season, Messi's recommendations now carry further weight with the board and he has urged them to pursue a deal for the young Dutchman.

Kluivert, rated at €3m, is contracted to Ajax until 2019 and has scored six goals in 20 games.

A January move is unlikely, however, with Barca having other priorities. But a summer market deal will be considered - thanks to Messi's influence.
