Norway coach Stale Solbakken says Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard could face Slovenia tonight.
Odegaard spent part of the week at Arsenal to work on his physio before joining the Norway squad.
Solbakken said on Friday: "Martin Ødegaard has trained today. If he wakes up tomorrow as he is today, there is a good chance that he will play.
"That is why he was allowed to remain in London, he did not rush home. It was so that they would gain an understanding of how he was and this worked."
Arsenal saw Thomas Partey pull out of Ghana's friendly with Brazil due to an injury flare up yesterday.
On dealing with Arsenal, Solbakken added: "I have not been involved in any controversies. I was second assistant under (Nils Johan) Semb and (Harald) Aabrekk. Some of the conversations Semb had with (Sir Alex) Ferguson and David O'Leary, I felt went a little harder!"
