Liverpool have joined the battle for RB Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.

Tuttosport says Liverpool are moving Takumi Minamino's former Salzburg team-mate Szoboszlai.

The 19-year-old Hungarian midfielder was linked to the Reds earlier in the season.

Liverpool, along with Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are all interested in the €30m-rated midfielder, whose Salzburg contract is up in 2022.

Earlier this season, Hungary coach Marco Rossi told Tribalfootball.com: “Szoboszlai is fortunate to have a family and an agent who follow him and advise him for the best. He is ambitious, but smart and clever.

“So I believe that he does not run any risk of media overexposure. I cannot say with certainty that he is the best young man I have seen in the last 7 years, but what is certain, and what makes the difference, is that he is certainly the one with the strongest personality."
