​AFCON: The Gambia and Mali close in on knockout stage after draw

The Gambia and Mali played out a tight 1-1 draw in their second games of the African Cup of Nations group stages.

The two sides are now first and second in Group F, with four points each.

Tunisia trail them by a point, while Mauritania are in fourth spot with no points from their two matches.

The two goals in this contest game in the last 15 minutes, with Mali taking the lead through an Ibrahima Kone penalty.

However, Gambia were not to be denied, as they got a spot kick of their own in the 90th minute.

Musa Barrow made no mistake from the spot, ensuring there was a share of the spoils.
