AFCON: Liverpool duo Mane and Salah to meet in final after Egypt beat hosts Cameroon

Mohamed Salah will meet Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane in the African Cup of Nations after Egypt beat Cameroon on penalties in the semi-final on Wednesday.

It was pure heartbreak for the hosts as they were dominated in the shootout in front of their own supporters.

The match finished 0-0 after 120 minutes as Cameroon stars Vincent Aboubokar and Karl Toko Ekambi were nullified by Egypt's defence, led by Ahmed Hegazy.

Carlos Quieroz's side were once again not pretty to watch and were only able to muster one shot on target.

It didn't matter however as they found their groove during the shootout.

Both teams scored their first spot-kicks before Egypt goalkeeper Gabaski enshrined himself in Pharaohs folklore.

The Zamalek stalwart denied Harold Moukoudi and James Lea Siliki before former Spurs man Clinton N'Jie sent his penalty wide.

All eyes are now on Sunday's final which will see Mane and Salah face off in Yaounde.
