Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita could not stop his Guinea side losing to Zimbabwe in the African Cup of Nations.

Zimbabwe were already eliminated going into the game, but won thanks to goals from Knowledge Musona and Kudakwashe Mahachi in the first half.

Keita did score an excellent goal to give his side a chance, but they did not do enough to merit a point.

Despite losing, Guinea go through to the knockout stages, as their head-to-head with Malawi put them in second place in the group.

Keita and his teammates will need to improve if they are to progress beyond the next round of the competition.
