The Asian Football confederation (AFC) was delighted to enter into a partnership with the English Premier League earlier this week.
Asian football's governing body and the England's top football competition have entered into an agreement with the view 'to formalising and expanding on existing initiatives that already exist between' the organisations.
AFC president Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa was thrilled to enhance the relationship with the EPL which is the most-watched football league in the world and in Asia.
"The signing of this agreement is not just ink on paper. The whole of Asia follows the clubs in England and the Premier League is a top priority for us," Shaikh Salman said.
The AFC hopes that the relationship encourages working partnerships between Premier League clubs and those from the AFC's member associations.
