Adelaide United find free-flowing style against Raiders

Adelaide United untied the shackles and managed to score four goals in a pre-season clash against Super League club Raiders last night.

The Reds had struggled to play free-flowing, attacking football in two other matches prior to last night but managed to break free and play some entertaining football.

Goals from Kristian Sarkies, Robert Cornthwaite, Michael Marrone and Travis Dodd did the damage in the 4-1 win which pleased coach Aurelio Vidmar.

"It was important for us that Raiders put on a good show and they were really intense throughout the 90 minutes so that made it a very good hit out for us," Vidmar said.

"It was a much better performance than last week so we're certainly moving forward. That's what we want and the majority of players got close to playing 90 minutes which is important at this stage."
