Adelaide United goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic has replaced Reading's Adam Federici in the Socceroos squad. Federici sustained a minor back injury against Preston North End on the weekend and will step out of the squad that takes on Japan in Yokohama tomorrow.

It is a great reward for Galekovic who has had an outstanding season in both the A-League and Asian Champions League and it backs up his international debut when he took the gloves in last month's 0-0 draw with Indonesia in Asian Cup qualifying.
