Former Arsenal and Crystal Palace striker Emmanuel Adebayor broke his six-year hat-trick drought for Turkish high-fliers Basaksehir against Galatasaray on Monday.
The huge win against their rivals in the league standings kept Basaksehir second in the league, just five points behind Besiktas and ahead of giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.
On the match-winning performance, Adebayor humbly thanked a host of his former star team-mates.
He said: "I think it was my first hat trick since Real Madrid [an 8-1 win over Almeria in May 2011].
"I owe it to the great players I played with like Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and [Cristiano] Ronaldo...
"This is for them and what I learned from them."
