Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor expects to be fit for Sunday's clash with Southampton.

Adebayor did not make the trip to Portugal for the Europa League fixture against Benfica last night because of hamstring pain.

The London Evening Standard says Adebayor is hopeful of taking his place in the starting XI as Tottenham seek to return to winning ways after four matches without a victory.

The 30-year-old forward is also struggling with a cut foot but is keen to be involved.
