Emmanuel Adebayor has returned to Tottenham this week.

The Mirror says Adebayor has returned from compassionate leave - but is not expected to be back in Tottenham's line-up.

He had been given time to visit Ghana for personal reasons. But the striker and outcast Benoit Assou-Ekotto lead a lengthy list of players boss Mauricio Pochettino would like to offload.

With Adebayor on around £100,000 a week, it is unlikely Spurs will find a taker, but they are trying to arrange a loan move.
