Adama Traore and Wolves reach stalemate over contract talks

Wolverhampton Wanderers are in a stand off with winger Adama Troare regarding a new contract.

The 24-year-old was expected to have signed a new contract by now.

However, Goal.com is reporting that Traore losing his spot in the team may have something to do with slowed negotiations.

Manager Nuno Espírito Santo has preferred Daniel Podence and Pedro Neto out wide this season.

Traore will not extend his deal unless he is back in the team and secure about his first team spot at the club.

The Spaniard has not scored or assisted in his last seven Premier League or latter stage Europa League matches.

He will have to pick up his form if he wants to get back into the team and stay at the club for the long term.
