AC Milan are ready to fund their midfield transfer plans by selling striker Alexandre Pato.

Milan media sources say the Rossoneri need to sell to part fund their bid to strengthen Massimiliano Allegri's midfield.

While Chelsea and Barcelona are regarded as favourites for the forgotten Brazil international, it's been revealed intermediaries will also offer Pato to Manchester City.

Milan are hoping to raise £35 million from Pato's sale - though the youngster's injury problems may drive down his valuation.
