AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia has hailed the progress of Stephan El Shaarawy this season.

The young striker is leading the scoring charts.

"If a player has certain qualities, he will emerge. Stephan has shown he has quality. I knew him at Genoa, and to tell you the truth, he was even faster than he is now.

"But now he has strengthened and can battle with opponents. He is showing his skills and his taking responsibility," said Amelia.
