AC Milan are showing an interest in young defender Sven Botman.
According to Sky in Italy, Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are eager to secure a replacement for injured centre-back Simon Kjaer.
The stalwart is out for six months with a knee injury, and they see 21-year-old Botman from Lille as the ideal replacement.
Botman would be an expensive signing, and Milan may have to look to other targets if they have minimals funds available in January.
The Netherlands U21 international has previously been linked to Liverpool and Newcastle United by the British press.
