AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca admits he hopes to return to Spain.

Bacca spent the season on-loan at Villarreal.

"My target is to remain in Spain," Bacca stated. “I still have two years of contract with Milan, but we are talking with Villarreal.

“I was happy there, I hope we do the right thing."

He added: “Milan have changed a lot, a lot of new players with quality have arrived, but they have gotten back into Europe.

“It's difficult to compete with Roma, Juventus and Napoli. They are working towards getting to that level."
