AC Milan have released Ivan Strinic from his contract.

The decision has been made by mutual consent.

The Croat only joined Milan from Sampdoria last summer, signing a two-year deal, but failed to make any appearances after a heart problem came to light.

The 31-year-old had also been pushed further down the pecking order by Theo Hernandez's arrival from Real Madrid.
