AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni says the club is delighted for Olivier Giroud.

The veteran striker has fired France into the World Cup semifinals, having become his country's leading goalscorer during the tournament.

Scaroni says Giroud's success is a credit to the club.

He said: "Giroud is doing very well, I think the qualification is very close to him.

"We revitalised him and with us he found a new motivation that he transferred to France."
