AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi says they're prepared to buy a replacement for Nigel de Jong.
The midfielder is out for the season after snapping his Achilles tendon.
"We're disappointed, it is a real shame for De Jong," the former Italian Prime Minister told Sky Sport Italia.
"We're evaluating the opportunity of going back on to the market if that is what is necessary."
