Marco Giampaolo has formally left his post at Sampdoria.
He is now expected to soon be confirmed new coach of AC Milan.
“We thank Marco for the three seasons with us," Samp president Massimo Ferrero told the official club website.
“We grew together, achieved some satisfying results and now wish him all the best for his career. Giampaolo's time was an important passage in the development of our club's technical project."
Giampaolo added, “I thank President Ferrero and all of Samp for three indelible seasons.
“I was happy in Genoa and we did well together. I thank all the directors, collaborators, dependents of the club and players who shared this journey with me. You'll remain in my heart, along with all the Blucerchiati fans."
