AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali: My game has gone to new level

AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali is delighted with his form over the past 12 months.

Tonali admits his game has stepped up this past season.

He said, “I don't want to feel like a leader, what we need is unity and for all the young players who are here for the first time to feel part of something. We don't need a leader, we must all feel part of the team.

“If I think about last year, I realise how much I have changed. Playing a whole season as first choice for Milan, playing at a higher level than last season, that helped me so much. I want to keep going like this.

“Right now, the Nazionale is the most important thing, but I see international duty on the same level of importance as Milan."

He added, "All that really changed was my confidence, being able to trust myself and play without second-guessing myself. It might seem like a small thing, but on the pitch it transforms everything."
