AC Milan midfielder Alexis Saelemaekers says they want to beat Napoli for coach Stefano Pioli.

The two teams meet on Sunday in a top of the table showdown.

“The coach has done such great work over the last few months and we want to win for him too on Sunday," Saelemaekers told Milan TV.

“It really is an important match and we hope to do well. I now feel that the coach and the team have faith in me, I hope to improve every day to prove I am a good player for this team.

“You can see on the field that we are playing with more confidence and feel strong. It's a great thing for Milan and we hope to keep this up all season.

“Everyone knows the importance of the game with Napoli and we are ready."
