Calciomercato.com says Milan chiefs have seen enough and decided they will not seek to extend Van Ginkel's loan next season.
The former Vitesse Arnhem star will return to Chelsea in the summer.
Van Ginkel, who has been plagued by a two-year old knee injury, is tied to Chelsea until 2018.
