AC Milan fullback Theo Hernandez on 95m wonder goal: I'm glad my son was here to see it

Theo Hernandez has detailed his wonder goal in AC Milan's 2-0 victory over Atalanta.

The fullback brought back memories of George Weah's famous individual effort as he ran with the ball for almost the length of the pitch before scoring.

It was later calculated Theo ran 95m before shooting and he said: “I do everything for this team, it's an incredible evening with all our people. After such a long time, they are very happy and I am very happy to be playing for Milan.

“I started and thought I'm going all the way. It was an incredible goal, but the hard work of all the teammates and the fans made it possible.

“I am glad my son was here to see it, it's a wonderful night. We are close, we are a week away from the Scudetto, we need to give our all and that's it. We're very happy."

The result leaves Milan two points clear at the top of the table with a game to play.
