AC Milan director Ricky Massara is delighted with his new deal.
Massara penned terms to 2024 along with fellow director Paolo Maldini yesterday.
Paying tribute to coach Stefano Pioli, he said, "It's a culture of work, enthusiasm, unity, a team that builds the team and a coach who puts the players in a position to grow, something done in an excellent way by (Stefano) Pioli. The Scudetto arrived collectively, there were moments of difficulty but everyone was involved and each of them gave something, even those who played little.
“Everyone made their mark. I'm thinking about Tatarusanu's penalty save, Maldini's goal vs. Spezia, Rebic's recovery from which Tonali's goal vs. Lazio was born. This is thanks to Pioli, he did an extraordinary job and Milan fans should thank him."
He said, “It was a delicate phase but not in reference to Donnarumma, who is a great champion. When the new ownership arrived there was a strategy aimed at changing the economic condition, we had to regain competitiveness without forgetting sustainability. We had to do it out of necessity. This led us to make difficult, delicate choices, but we are happy to have found an extraordinary goalkeeper who will make history at Milan."
