AC Milan director Paolo Maldini has urged fans to be patient as their new project makes progress.

Maldini insists the club is now on the right track.

He said, “The steps are those of growth. Last year, we finished in fifth just one point from the Champions League, the idea is to improve this result.

"There is still a possibility, we will still have many opportunities to make a change to our season.

“We are doing the rest: a squad that is younger and less dense while decreasing the wages. We don't have the AC Milan of our dreams yet, but we are working on it."
