AC Milan defender Mateo Musacchio was pleased with their performance for the 0-0 stalemate with Napoli.

Musacchio was happy to blunt Napoli's attack.

"Napoli are such a strong side, we needed a perfect defensive performance to bring home a point," Musacchio told DAZN.

“We played well and it was important for us to keep a clean sheet."

In the second half, new €35m buy Krzysztof Piatek came on for his Milan debut and could well feature more heavily in the Coppa Italia quarter-final against Napoli on Tuesday.

“The new signings are strong, as Lucas Paquetá is doing great things and Piatek already proved at Genoa what he can do.

“Now we'll rest and focus on the Coppa Italia from tomorrow."
