AC Milan coach Pioli reveals Leao's record-breaking goal a set play

AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli has revealed their record-breaking goal against Sassuolo was a set play.

The Rossoneri won 2-1 at Sassuolo with Rafael Leao scoring the fastest goal in the history of Serie A after just six seconds.

“We have four or five situations for the kick-off and we wanted to have a strong approach because we missed something in the last few games. Praise to [Hakan] Calhanoglu, Brahim Diaz and Leao who did the right movement," Pioli told Sky Sport.

“Each game is worth three points, that's what I always tell the team. We always play to win and we were not satisfied about the last two draws."

Pioli was keen to praise Theo Hernandez for his performance on the day.

“He is becoming a complete defender, I am really happy for his work and his sacrifice. He has everything to become a top player.

“Today I was tempted to play without a centre forward, not to give Sassuolo points of reference. There is a nice environment, if new faces will come, they'll have to show the same attitude."
