AC Milan coach Rino Gattuso praised Tiemoue Bakayoko after last night's 2-1 win over Genoa.
An injury-time winner from Alessio Romagnoli settled the game, though Gattuso insisted the result was deserved.
He said, "I still hear some whistles when we suffer. At this moment we complicate life. In the first minutes the game was smooth, then the support goes wrong, you lose belief and panic. The game has changed for this."
"We have highs and lows, we have created but in the open field we could also concede goals. We still have to make progress."
On Chelsea midfielder Bakayoko, Gattuso added: "Today Bakayoko did not have to play from the start and he had a great game, in the first half he showed his talents. I am satisfied with the mentality of the team, we are alive but we can and must improve."
