AC Milan coach Gennaro Gattuso insists he doesn't need to get along with his directors every day.
There is talk of some tension with club chief Paolo Maldini.
Gattuso said, “We have to improve but there are times like against Atalanta, when you can suffer at the hands of your opponents' strength and must wait for the right moment to hurt them.
“Maldini and management don't see eye-to-eye with everything I do? It's true. Sometimes it happens, but there's always respect between us.
“The club did a good job of raising me. There's no need to go looking for controversy. As for myself, I don't need to be told I'm doing 'good' every time.
“Things are going well at the minute but when I've been criticised harshly, I've tried to read into it as little as possible and just do my job.
“Even big names like Mourinho, Ancelotti and Allegri are also under attack."
