AC Milan coach Gattuso: Is beating Roma a turning point?

AC Milan coach Rino Gattuso was proud of their 2-1 win over AS Roma.

Patrick Cutrone hit a last minute winner for the Rossonero.

Gattuso declared: “It's the second match and already people are asking me if it's a turning point. There were huge regrets over the defeat to Napoli, we played even better in the first 45 minutes tonight.

“There are four or five sides who have strengthened this season and we're one of them, but I can't talk about a turning point after two games. I know how our lads work and that we still need to become a team in some areas.

“We can't think that we'll control every game against any opponent. We have to play the ball and that's essential."

Gattuso is trying to introduce a more attractive style of football this season and it was already on show when leading Napoli 2-0 only to lose 3-2 last week.

“The club has given me a complete squad with strength in areas we didn't have before. We had four or five great counter-attacks in the second half and didn't take them, so we must improve in that sense."
