AC Milan coach Rino Gattuso is backing their move to re-sign Alexandre Pato.

The prospect of the Brazil international returning to Milan is now being actively discussed inside Milanello.

Currently playing in China with Tianjin Quanjian, Pato is aware of Milan's plans and has made it clear he'd jump at the chance of a return. He would also be willing to take a hefty cut on his €9m salary.

The stumbling block is Tianjin Quanjian, which have informed Milan that it will take €25m to sign the striker.

For the moment, Milan regard the valuation as excessive, says Gazzetta dello Sport.
