AC Milan chiefs Maldini, Massara eager to deal in Chelsea defender Tomori

AC Milan are ready to sign permanently Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori.

Tomori joined Milan on loan until the end of the season from Chelsea on January 22 after featuring just four times for the Blues under Thomas Tuchel's predecessor Frank Lampard.

Since making the switch to Italy, the 23-year-old has been revitalised - making 17 appearances in all competitions. As part of his loan, AC Milan have the option to buy him for £25million at the end of the season.

Sky Italia says the centre-back met with technical area director Paolo Maldini and sporting director Frederic Massara on Wednesday evening to discuss his future.

Maldini and Massara are big fans of the England international and now need to convince the Milan board to take the option up of signing Tomori permanently.
