AC Milan chief Mirabelli: Donnarumma leaves on our terms. We know where the evil comes from

AC Milan chief Massimo Mirabelli insists they're under no pressure to sell Gigio Donnarumma next month - though he has opened the door.

Donnarumma was barracked by home fans during victory over Verona last night after it broke his agent, Mino Raiola, is making a push to have his contract rescinded over claims he signed the deal under duress.

However, Mirabelli insisted: "Our position is clear: we do not need to sell anyone. If any player wants to leave they must tell us, even if obviously they must be satisfied with our requests.

"Gigio is an exceptional guy, I spoke to him a minute ago and he never told us he wanted to leave.

"We understand the moment and the fans, but we whistle the opponents and not our players. Not all faults are from Gigio, we must support him because he is our heritage. We have to protect him, we know where evil comes from. We hope to resolve this situation soon."

On Raiola, he added: "I have no meeting scheduled with him. The boy has a contract until 2021, I have nothing to say then to Raiola."

Mirabelli continued: "We are closer than ever to Gigio because we have no intention of surrendering him. If he wants to go away he has to beg us, but I talked to him until a minute ago and he never asked for it, he loves Milan. We will protect Gigio and Milan from some who are trying to damage our club."

On the possible offers, he added: "Anyone will have to accept our conditions if someone wants Donnarumma."
