AC Milan chief Paolo Maldini insists Stefano Pioli will be coach next season.

Maldini was speaking before their 3-0 win at Juventus.

He said of Pioli: “The owners did not demand we qualify for the Champions League this season. There was some hope seeing how the last term ended, but it was not a demand or an expectation."

Maldini urged calm around Gigio Donnarumma's situation.

“He's very calm, determined and focused. People have to remember the history of this lad, who came up through our youth academy and has always played with us."
