AC Milan GM Adriano Galliani has opened the door to extending the loan of Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel.

The young Dutchman is beginning to match expectations after a tough start to the season.

For the draw with Sampdoria, many believed Van Ginkel turned in his best performance for Milan.

"If Van Ginkel holds this level, then we'll consider to hire him for a second season, with an option to buy," declared Galliani.

Van Ginkel added: "Whether this was my best game for Milan? I do not know. Personally it's going well, yes."
