AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani met with Arsenal directors over the weekend to discuss Cesc Fabregas. In London for the Champions League final, Galliani came away from Barcelona's triumph convinced that his midfield needs a shake-up - with Cesc his prime target.
Yesterday, says SportItalia, he met with Arsenal executives to discuss a price for Cesc.
While the Gunners captain favours a return to Barca, Galliani hopes to be granted permission to speak with the midfielder and convince him that he will be guaranteed a greater role and responsibility with the Rossoneri.
As much as they enjoyed winning the Scudetto this season, Milan have always favoured the Champions League over domestic success and Galliani knows they need to add top drawer quality to compete with Barca next term.
