AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is expected in New York this weekend for talks with Pep Guardiola.
Gazzetta dello Sport says Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has decided he wants the former Barcelona coach to succeed Massimiliano Allegri and Galliani will hold face-to-face talks with the Spaniard to discuss - for the first time - the prospect of joining the Rossoneri.
Guardiola has already fielded offers from Russia and the Middle East, but for the moment is happy in New York as he winds down after an intense few years in charge of Barca.
Berlusconi is willing to wait until the summer for Guardiola, but Galliani will use his trip this weekend to make it clear that they want him.
