AC Milan chief Marco Fassone is delighted with their swoop for Fiorentina striker Nikola Kalinic.
Fassone says the Croatian completes their summer market work.
“With Nikola I think we've completed the team," Fassone said as Kalinic signed his contract live on Facebook.
“We've made 11 signings this year and this one has been a long and difficult story. If we're here and able to tell it though it's because he [Kalinic] wanted to become a Rossonero so much.
“He has a boundless and historic love for our shirt and that's what allowed us to unlock this long negotiation that Massimiliano [Mirabelli, the sporting director] had with Fiorentina.
“He's the player we wanted with experience and quality. We've always talked about a mix, and about completing the spine that's also made up of [Leonardo] Bonucci and [Lucas] Biglia.
“Nikola completes the squad, finally we've done it and we're proud he's a new Milan player."
