AC Milan chief exec Marco Fassone is encouraged by Gigio Donnarumma's recent public statements.

The future of Donnarumma remains clouded amid claims of his agent Mino Raiola attempting to rescind his contract.

After last week's Coppa Italia win over Verona, Donnarumma took to social media to post: “It was an ugly night that I didn't expect!

“I never said, nor wrote, that I was on the end of moral violence when I signed the contract. Despite all of this, I look ahead with my mind on the next game… Forza Milan!"

Fassone responded on Wednesday: “His post on Instagram a few days ago reassured me."
